Looking to get my first Rifle not new to guns but been eyeing this for a while.

Would love to hear the pros/cons of this vs getting an AR. This Stag was my second pick.

Have you considered the compromise of a 5.56 Galil Ace?
7.62x39 is kind of expensive to shoot currently

Ammoseek has 7.62x39 at $0.42/rd and 5.56 $0.38/rd. Not a dramatic difference.

I do agree it’s a good question to ponder which caliber you want to get into.

I'm reading that 7.62 is alot more fun to shoot, and I won't lie the Galil just looks good. I do plan on getting FFL03 to get these cheap ammo deals!

It really is quite fun. You'll get the full experience with the rock and lock of the AK mags too
